Ken Hunter III

Manager of the LLC; President and Chief Executive Officer

Ken Hunter III is a third-generation oil and gas executive with over 45 years of experience in the industry. He has guided the Hunter family’s legacy in energy through multiple decades and is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of Venator Resources LLC.  Mr. Hunter is also integrally involved in the ownership and strategic vision of Sensorio Field of Lights located in Paso Robles, CA.  Ken began his career working in the oilfields alongside his grandfather and father before moving into accounting as a practicing CPA. Ken has served as President of the National Stripper Well Association (2014), Chairman of the California Independent Producers Association (CIPA, 2015-2016) and was honored as the California Independent Petroleum Association’s oil man of the year in 2006. Ken holds an Accounting Degree from the University of Southern California. Outside of oil and gas, Ken is the founder and CEO of Sensorio Field of Lights in Paso Robles, CA.

Seth Hunter

Executive Committee Chair and Chief Operating Officer
Seth Hunter serves as COO and Chair of the Executive Committee. A fourth-generation oil man with more than 25 years of experience in the industry, joining Venator and its affiliated companies in 2006.  Seth brings extensive operational and strategic leadership to Venator and drives company initiatives and ensures efficient management across its portfolio. Seth holds a Psychology Degree from Oregon State University.

Nikki Tramel

Chief Financial Officer
Nikki Tramel serves as CFO with more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Throughout her career, she has led accounting, finance, treasury, and strategic planning functions for private equity-backed and privately held energy companies, as well as public companies, helping organizations navigate growth, operational transformation, capital initiatives, acquisitions, and divestitures. Her broad industry experience and proven track record of building scalable financial organizations align closely with Venator's commitment to disciplined growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. Nikki holds an Executive MBA from Texas Christian University's Neeley School of Business and a bachelor’s in accounting from California State University, Bakersfield.

Erik Vasquez

Executive Director of Land and Business Development
Erik Vasquez leads Venator’s land and business development teams, managing land, leasing, permitting, acquisitions, and divestitures. He has been with Venator and its affiliated companies since 2008, and his background in finance, private equity, and land management supports Venator’s growth and compliance across its portfolio of affiliates in California, Wyoming, Texas, Utah, and Colorado.  Erik holds Finance and Accounting Degrees from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and an MBA from University of Bath in England.  He is a long-time AAPL Member and a Certified Professional Landman.

Shannon Windell Martin, Esq.

General Counsel
Shannon Martin oversees legal affairs, compliance, and corporate governance for Venator Resources LLC, Hunter Enterprises, and their affiliated companies, while providing strategic counsel to the Executive Committee. He brings decades of experience in the oil and gas industry as a business leader, landman, and trial attorney, with experience spanning both major and independent energy companies. Shannon is licensed to practice law in Alaska, California, Colorado, and Texas and is an AAPL Certified Professional Landman. Shannon holds a B.S. in Political Science from San Diego State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.

Stephen Cunningham

Director of Operations, Utah & Wyoming
Stephen Cunningham is an oil and gas operations leader with extensive experience overseeing development and production assets throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Since having joined the company in 2014, Stephen has established a reputation for combining strong technical expertise with practical operational leadership, successfully guiding multidisciplinary teams through asset development programs. A graduate of the University of Wyoming with a BS in Petroleum Engineering, Stephen combines technical expertise with practical operational leadership across drilling, completions, production operations, and asset management. He currently serves on the University of Wyoming Energy and Petroleum Engineering Department Advisory Board, where he helps connect academics with industry needs and supports the development of future energy professionals. Stephen holds Professional Engineering licenses in the State of California and the State of Utah. He is passionate about building strong teams, optimizing asset performance, and creating long-term value through disciplined execution and strategic leadership.

Wyatt Shipley

Wyatt Shipley serves as Director of Operations for Venator Resources, overseeing operations across California, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. With more than two decades of experience in the energy industry, Wyatt has held leadership roles throughout his career focused on operational excellence, safety, and asset performance. Prior to joining Venator in 2014, Wyatt served as a District Manager for Schlumberger. He has managed assets in the Permian Basin, where he gained extensive experience in field operations, production optimization, and team leadership. Wyatt’s broad operational background and commitment to efficient, safe, and responsible resource development support Venator’s continued growth and performance across its multi-state portfolio. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and is currently working on an Executive MBA at the University of Utah.

Director of Marketing
Shane Nelson oversees crude oil and gas marketing for Venator-managed assets across Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and California. He also assists independent producers with specialized marketing solutions through VNRG Marketing LLC. With over 25 years of diverse industry experience, Shane brings a comprehensive perspective having worked across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors. Ivan Toledo

Senior Landman
Ivan Toledo brings 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a broad background in land management, acquisitions and divestitures, and development activities across major U.S. basins. His experience spans both subsurface and surface disciplines, including leasing, title and ownership analysis, mineral and royalty transactions, surface and infrastructure agreements, due diligence, and regulatory coordination. Throughout his career, Ivan has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, geology, legal, regulatory, and operations to support asset development and execute complex land projects. His experience includes working with private and public operators as well as federal and state agencies across multiple producing regions. Ivan is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Wesleyan University, and is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL).
